Conversion Areas

Deck 9:

• Demolition of existing fitness area.
• Fabrication and installation of an 23to aluminium deckshouse sektion. Area to be outfitted as Observation Lounge.
• Installation of an additional AC unit.
• Extension of the deck area.

Deck 8:

• Installation of 12 balcony doors in way of 12 deluxe cabins and former public deck areas to be rearranged as balcony areas for relevant cabins.
• Extension of 20 Superior cabins to port and starboard side. Installation of balcony doors and former public deck areas to be rearranged as balcony areas for relevant cabins.

Deck 6:

• Demolition of existing sauna area. New area to be integrated into the existing Shackelton´s bar area.
• Demolition of two existing and installation of two new lifeboats and davit arrangements.

Deck 5:

• Overhaul of wet units in cabin areas.
• Demolition of 6 cabins in aft part of the vessel and installation of an new beaty centre, pax laundrette and fitness centre.

Deck 4:

• Overhaul of wet units in cabin areas.

Mechanical  works

• Removal of existing shaft line up to OD-Box at port and starboard side.
• Installation of new shaft line up to OD-Box includeing new propeller with PROMAS systems.
• Installation of new stern tube sealing system.

• Removal of old stern thruster and closing of thruster tunnel.
  Removal of old bow thruster and transportation of both units for overhaul (1+1=1) to Rolls-Royce.
  Installation of overhauled trhuster unit in bow thruster tunnel.

• Demolition of existing sewage plant and installation of new sewage plant system of maker Hamann.

• Installation of new stern thruster (Voith Inline Propulsor) into a new skeg section.
