Lloyd Werft readies Minerva for new adventures

Shiprepair and Conversion Technology, 16.03.2012 The 15-year old 12,499gt Minerva, formerly, Alexander von Humboldt, Saga Pearl and Explorer 11, arrived at the Lloyd Werft yard in Bremerhaven on 7 December and is undergoing an extensive conversion lasting 83 days.

Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven has a history of 150 years of shipbuilding in the province of Bremen, in Germany. It is the oldest exciting shipyard in the region and is proof of a long, turbulent and also successful history. The tradition of pride and satisfaction in our work has been successfully fulfilled through several generations and business phases of ‚Lloyd‘.

This tradition, we know however is of no value without continuing progress within our company. We have used this perspective to help form our future plans and through this we believe we have successfully secured a bright future for Lloyd Werft.
